Enclosure is made to order. The photos are of a previously sold item. Depending on what I have in stock, there may be slight differences such as size of wood platforms, plants, and size of wood on bottom of enclosure. I will message you for approval on any changes prior to shipping of item.
Once your enclosure ships, it will not be ready to house your spider for 7-10 days. That gives it time for the fumes from creating it to dissipate. Just do a quick sniff test and if you no longer smell glue, it is safe for your spider. **Please note there may be small scratches on acrylic from the creation process or from prior to the purchase of the enclosure**
Cork bark on back is attached with waterproof twine and can be removed for cleaning.
Enclosure has 2 air vents, one on each side for air flow and easy misting. (Grommets are plastic to avoid any rusting should you decide to mist using the air holes) They are covered with Mesh Fabric. Feeder hole is secured with a Wooden cork stop.
Enclosure - Plastic 5 x 5 x 9 Container is a flip top container which opens from the bottom. This allows you to lift the top of the enclosure off for easier cleaning. Acrylic does scratch so be careful what you clean it with.
Plants - All plants are fake.
All heavy items are glued into place with E6000 which is a strong adhesive. It is silicone based and non toxic, waterproof, and holds up to strong temperature extremes. Plants are secured with hot glue.
PLEASE READ: A humid environment can encourage mold and bacteria which is not safe for your spider. Wood items in enclosure are sealed against moisture to protect them from molding quickly.
Although wood items are sealed, EXCESSIVE MISTING AND MOISTURE CAN CAUSE MOLD. When misting enclosures, it should be a light mist and done to the sides of the enclosure to discourage mold or bacteria growth.
I advise cleaning and inspecting your enclosure weekly. Wet a q-tip or paper towel and wipe down plants and wood items. This prevents mold and bacteria from forming. (see Care instruction card included with your item)
